Unit 2: Balancing the Scales
Students will work towards "balancing the scales" by moving beyond identification and toward explanation through argument, the study of drama and poetry, and effectively and appropriately communicating their own thoughts. By considering a variety of viewpoints and perspectives in order to find common ground, students will work to recognize bias and substantiate their claims.
